A stack of money with which two street vendors intend to pay a bribe to Councillor Rodrigo Bobadilla de la Paz causes endless misfortune to anyone who touches it. Single mother Monica, policeman Ivan Morales, maid Lucila, young travel agency assistant Camila, DC Central Design agency employee Erick, Councilman Rodrigo Bobadilla de la Paz, Captain Garrido, his wife Bertha, nightclub owners Lebron and Ana Milé, charitable neighbour Paz and Juan Juan, the most roguish and con artist of them all, see their lives completely destroyed. The only character who seems immune to the curse of the stack of money, is The Magician, who throughout the film goes through the scenes with laughter, The Magician, like the film, laughs at the value of money.
